2018 SRCIC Silk Road Business Summit will be held in Zhangjiajie City in October
2 Aug 2018
On 16 October 2018, the 2018 SRCIC Silk Road Business Summit will be held in Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province, China. Under the guidance of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China (SAC), China Council for Brand Development (CCBD), and China NGO Network for International Exchanges (CNIE), the summit is jointly organized by ICC China, Zhangjiajie Municipal Government, China Association for Friendship, CCPIT Hunan, and SRCIC.

The summit is themed with An Open New Era, A New Development Platform, and A New Hunan Province. Lead by Mr. Peter Mihok, Chairman of World Chambers Federation and Mr. Adnan Kassar, Honorary Chairman of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for the Arab Countries, around 500 Belt and Road government officials, ambassadors, UN and other international organization delegates, SRCIC member chamber leaders, transnational enterprise heads, and think tank experts will attend the summit and join panels under the themes of The Belt and Road International Cooperation Platform in the New Era, Building Up A New World through Cultural Exchanges and Tourism Development, and some more.

The Zhangjiajie Summit is the third Silk Road Business Summit organized by SRCIC, following on the successful summits in 2016 and 2017. The summit is composed of keynote speeches, agreement signing, award presenting, tourism promoting, and the implementation of pragmatic Belt and Road cooperation projects such as the China-Arab Development Bank.

The venue of 2018 Silk Road Business Summit is Zhangjiajie City, a UNESCO natural heritage site and one of the first world geoparks in China. The unique Zhangjiajie geomorphology served as the movie scene for Avatar and is now one of the best tourist attractions in China. It is also a thriving center for international business.
